My Toyger, Riddler, wandered in with his favorite toy, dropped it at my feet and started meowing.  I thought it was just him giving me a present (like outdoor cats do when they drop a dead squirrel at your doorstep.)  I grabbed it tossed it away so he'd chase it and go back to playing.

But he brought it back, dropped it at my feet and meowed again.  I looked down at him and thought: "WTF?  Does the CAT want to play fetch???"

Sure enough, I tossed the toy.  He chased it & batted it around for a bit.  Then he returned and dropped it at my feet, meowing again.  I did this for over an hour before my other cat, Oberon, leapt on Riddler.  Once the two started wrestling, the toy was forgotten.

But this morning, while I was checking e-mail, Riddler came in with the toy in his mouth, dropped it at my feet and meowed again.

I thought dogs were the only animals that did this!
